STMIK Primakara has officially transformed into Primakara University. The institutional upgrade is stated in the Decree of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 433/E/O/2023 dated May 22, 2023, concerning the merger of Akademi Akuntansi Denpasar and STMIK Primakara into Primakara University.

The decree was signed by the Acting Director-General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN.Eng., and was presented by the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region VIII, Dr. I Gusti Lanang Bagus Eratodi, S.T., M.T., to the founder and rector of Primakara University, I Made Artana, S.Kom., M.M., at the LLDIKTI Region VIII Office in Denpasar on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Founder and Rector of Primakara University, I Made Artana, S.Kom., M.M., expressed that the status upgrade to a university reflects Primakara’s commitment to the development of the digital creative economy, particularly in Bali and Indonesia. It also signifies the increasing trust bestowed upon Primakara by students, the community, and other stakeholders, acknowledging Primakara’s role as an ecosystem builder for the digital creative economy.

“Primakara University, or PRIME-U, is a testament to our commitment to providing relevant higher education that supports the development of the digital creative economy,” says Artana.

Now with Two Faculties

Following the official establishment as Primakara University, it currently consists of two faculties and offers seven undergraduate programs, namely:

Faculty of Information Technology and Design

–  Bachelor’s in Computer Science
–  Bachelor’s in Information Systems
–  Bachelor’s in Accounting Information Systems
–  Bachelor’s in Visual Communication Design

Faculty of Economics and Business

–  Bachelor’s in Management
–  Bachelor’s in Digital Business
–  Bachelor’s in Accounting

Students and Alumni Are Encouraged to Verify Data

Separately, Vice Rector I of Primakara University, Helmy Syakh Alam, S.T., S.Pd., M.Pd., urged STMIK Primakara and Akademi Akuntansi Denpasar students and alumni to verify the accuracy of their data on the PDDikti website.

“Due to the institutional transformation, we encourage STMIK Primakara and Akademi Akuntansi Denpasar students and alumni to check their personal data in the PDDikti system to avoid any data errors,” said Helmy.

Data verification can be done through the following steps:

–  Data in PDDikti is integrated with the National Diploma Numbering (PIN) and the Electronic Diploma Verification System (SIVIL), which are used for verifying graduates’ authenticity and are required for job registration in several institutions, especially governmental agencies.

–  Active students and alumni of STMIK Primakara and Akademi Akuntansi Denpasar are obliged to check their data by visiting the PDDikti website at https://pddikti.kemdikbud.go.id/ and using the search function for specific inquiries.

–  STMIK Primakara and Akademi Akuntansi Denpasar students and alumni listed in the Higher Education Database (Pangkalan Data Pendidikan Tinggi), but with data discrepancies, can make corrections through the link https://s.id/Perbaikandataprime.

–  Failure to make data corrections according to point 2 and subsequent data errors in PDDikti will be the responsibility of the individuals.
